Tangled Synopsis

It’s that time of year again to watch the newest Disney movie. On November 24, 2010 you can expect the release of Tangled, one of the best Disney films yet. Tangled is based on the classic German fairy tale Rapunzel. There are two main characters in the story: Princess Rapunzel who is played by Mandy Moore, and Flynn Rider who is played by Zachary Levi.

The story of Tangled is a must-see movie for those Walt Disney lovers. The plot of the film begins with a pregnant Queen who grows very ill. At first, there seems to be no cure and the survival of the Queen and her baby are at stake. Eventually, a servant of the Queen ventures to the garden of evil, belonging to an evil witch named Gothel. The servant steals a magical healing plant from the garden and returns to the kingdom to save the Queen. The Queen and her baby are saved, but as a result the baby, Princess Rapunzel, is born with magical healing powers.

Furious about what the Queen has done, Gothel ends up kidnapping Princess Rapunzel to make use of her healing powers. As Princess Rapunzel grows up, Gothel secludes her to a tower and forbids her from ever leaving. However from her tower, Rapunzel sees a festival full of lights once a year at the nearby Kingdom. This festival is held on Rapunzel’s birthday and is a reminder of the Kingdom’s lost princess.

Eventually, a thief named Flynn Rider arrives at the tower with stolen goods from the Kingdom. Rapunzel takes the goods from Flynn and agrees to return them if Flynn helps her escape the tower and reach the Kingdom. The rest of the story surrounds Flynn and Rapunzel’s escape.
